obviously open to suggestions, which is why I'm interested even more in this game. I'll support devs who are humble in their approach in delivering goods to the customers, I don't care for the snobbish ones whose game is mediocre if anything.
Back on topic though, Gears is my first favorite game this gen and it made me like TPSs more than a FPS. So any competition for Gears is welcomed, but only if its as good or better.
I agree with you on most of what you said especially the Gears part, but I'm all for Wii precision in a genre it would seem to be a no-brainer for it to cater to. I feel like the score was kind of low, but I agree that the art direction(mainly enemy and environments) is for the most part terrible save a couple of them which I liked. But if people want to see what Wii is capable of then this game shows a little bit of that and I do feel like HV held back a lot. We will see in future games.

focus on the delivery of the story a bit more. The game play is top notch though. I'll admit to anyone who is still riding the fence on getting the game, especially if the reviews are going to sway their decision, that the first level is rather bland, but after that the game is very addictive. The graphics are great...period. I actually thought about it while admiring the graphics, that I would also play this on the other systems, I wouldn't mind at all. Like I said, the first level is bland ...
You nor I are game devs, and I know this by the way you talk, concerning the Wii and what its capable of. The Wii is officially now going to be looked upon as being able to deliver a certain degree of graphical fidelity. I mean The Conduit looks 10x better than Haze to me and I don't really have to go any further than that, so I'll let everyone think about that for a second.

Complain about in this game is the level design. It seems as though they spent most of their time with polishing up the look of the main character and the reload animations, which are now my favorite of any console game. With the sequal they'll have time to just beef up the character, story and most seemingly important right now, the level designs which were below average for the most part. I still would give the campaign an 8 and the online an 8.5-9.
